Golden Fleece (Ericameria arborescens) Golden Fleece has an interesting strategy for attracting insects. It holds off blooming until almost all other plants are done, and then produces thousands of tiny flowers in August and September. I see hundreds of insects flying around Golden Fleece when it blooms.
