California Honeysuckle (Lonicera hispidula)

California Honeysuckle is a vine that tends to disappear in the vegetation it hangs from unless you notice the flowers, or even more prominent, the red translucent berries.   It is easy to tell you’re looking at a honeysuckle – the pair of leaves closest to the flowers or berries are opposite each other and wrap around the stem to become one entire leaf.
