Umbel

 

An umbel is a type of flower cluster.  It is made up of flower stalks that join the stem at the same point, like ribs on an umbrella.

Cow Parsnip has its flowers arranged in umbels.

Cow Parsnip has secondary umbels on the end of each stalk of the main umbel.  This is called a compound umbel.
